The Shaw Academy claims to be the largest live webinar Online Course provider on the planet and we enrolled on to one of their courses so that we could give you our Clever Experts view of what it is like to be a student on one of their courses.
We also devised a set of Clever ‘Online Course Review Questions’ to make sure that you get all the information you need to decide on which Online Course would be good for you…
I registered for the Shaw Academy Online Live Webinar Course in Online Digital Marketing and quickly received a confirmation email along with my log-in details.
The information received via email was detailed and useful with information about the teachers on the course and about the course itself.
I could also log into my student area and see the course I was enrolled on. Clicking on the title I could see a breakdown of the individual webinar dates and subjects being covered.
Clicking on each webinar date gave me a further list of main subject headings that would be covered in each of the sessions. There was also a button top access the webinar which was not available as the course had not started yet. There was a place to view recordings of previous webinars if I had missed the live sessions and also tabs for recommended reading and for downloading class materials after each webinar.
The pages were all clear and uncluttered and simple to use.
The next email to come through from the Shaw Academy to introduce the teaching and subject team and even though this is an online webinar based course it was surprisingly reassuring to see who was going to be taking you through the course and to know a little bit about themselves and their experience.
I was pretty impressed with the simplicity and professionalism of it all so far.
There were email reminders before the webinar was due to start but a great advantage with this type of course is that if you are not able to attend the webinar live, the sessions are recorded so that you can watch them later.
Here is where I need to tell you that I contacted Shaw Academy to tell them that I intended on writing a review of their course for our Clever Community and was it OK for me to use some of their information. They replied the next day with a link to their partnerships and affiliates page.
I added MakeMeClever.com web details and soon received a link to use which would give anyone from MakeMeClever.com (anyone using the links on these pages), some great discounts on their courses. MakeMeClever.com also receives a return for any sign-ups through these pages which will be used to help with site development.
I am happy to say that so far, I like what I see. But please be assured that this does not mean that I will blindly give a positive review to get sign ups. That is not the purpose of this review or MakeMeClever.com.
If you are interested in looking at the courses offered by the Shaw Academy then please use the links on these pages to visit them. This will trigger discounts for you and credits for MakeMeClever.com and the Clever Community. But, don’t be in a hurry just yet. Continue to read our articles in this review series to find out all about the course and whether it is right for you – we only want you to have the best!
